In the Carlo Alberto Fortification of the fortress, the elegant and sophisticated Hotel Cavour et des Officiers is waiting for you for a very special stay. It was realised by renovating the ancient part dedicated to barracks, garrison’s and women’s accommodations, above the old bread oven.

We are proposing to our Guests a unique experience spending the night within the walls of the Fortress, choosing among 11 elegant rooms finely furnished by the famous designer vico Magistretti, realised by the Studio E’ De Padova, just a few metres from beautiful works of art.

HOTEL CAVOUR ET DES OFFICIERS
The hotel, with its minimalist and Nordic design, is located within the Forte di Bard, in spaces that once served as the barracks’ halls within the Carlo Alberto work. Its dominant position at the top of the rock offers breathtaking views of the central Dora Baltea valley. The fortress has been converted into a tourist and cultural center, housing permanent museums including the Museum of the Alps and the Museum of Fortifications and Borders, as well as spaces for international art and photography exhibitions.

THE MEDIEVAL VILLAGE OF BARD
At the base of the fortress, the medieval village of Bard unfolds along a narrow street in a charming setting. Characteristic high-era buildings guide visitors through historic locations, revealing frescoes and intimate glimpses.

IDEAL LOCATION FOR EVENTS
The monumental complex of the Forte di Bard offers extensive services upon request: two equipped conference rooms, a restaurant, a café, as well as the Piazza di Gola and other evocative rooms for organizing corporate events such as conferences and private events like weddings and ceremonies.

CANCELLATION POLICY
From the confirmation of the booking, unless otherwise agreed, the following penalties will apply in case of cancellation or changes:

Up to 8 days before the arrival date: no penalty;
From 7 to 4 days before the arrival date: 50% of the total stay amount (the deposit paid will be retained);
From 3 days before the arrival date until the start of the stay and in case of early departure: 90% of the total stay amount;
In case of no-show: 90% of the stay amount.

BIKE SERVICE

You can ride along the scenic roads of the Forte di Bard, which are equipped with a bike workshop for minor repairs. Bicycles are available upon request from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Hotel Reception.

Note: The use of bicycles requires reading and signing the waiver provided by the reception staff.

Please remember that:

Any damage caused to the bicycle will be charged in full to the guest.
The bicycle must be returned in the same condition as when it was provided, complete with all accessories.
The bicycle is insured for damage caused to third parties.

FOUR-LEGGED FRIENDS

The access is also allowed in the common areas of the Hotel and you could have a walk with them through the Gola pedestrian way, near to the Hotel.

In order to enable our Guests to have a comfortable and carefree visit of the Fort and its exhibits and museums, after checking out or in case of arrrival before checking in, it will be a pleasure for us to make available our luggage room, located behind the reception.

LOUNGE AREA
In the lobby of the Hotel, next to the Reception, our Lounge Area is available 24 hours a day. Guests can savour a Nespresso coffee, a tea or a scented infusion and taste a delicious pasta ‘d melia, a typical biscuit from Piedmont. For the little ones, we also have sweets and candies.
